State Senator Dave Min Endorses Dr. Jasmeet Bains for Assembly

Dr. Jasmeet Bains has been endorsed by State Senator Dave Min, her campaign for State Assembly announced today.

Senator Dave Min said: “I am proud to endorse my friend Dr. Jasmeet Bains for State Assembly. Dr. Bains has the vision, passion, and track record to be a true champion for all Californians in the State Assembly. I am excited to see what she will do in our legislature, and look forward to working with her as we work to ensure future generations have clean air and water and access to good paying jobs with retirement security.”

The son of Korean immigrants who grew up during the Korean War and its aftermath, Dave Min was first elected to the State Senate in 2020. Prior to his election, he was a law professor at UC Irvine, where he taught and researched in the area of business law. He is one of the country’s leading experts on banking and housing policy. After graduating from Wharton and Harvard Law School, he began his career at the Securities and Exchange Commission holding Wall Street accountable in the aftermath of the Enron and Worldcom scandals.

Dr. Jasmeet Bains said: “Senator Min’s support means a lot to me because he has been a champion for the underserved for decades and has dedicated his life to standing up for our families. Senator Min will be a key partner in my work in the Assembly to deliver quality, affordable healthcare, high wage jobs and cleaner air and water for our Valley and all Californians.”

Senator Min joins Senators Melissa Hurtado and pediatrician and Senator Dr. Richard Pan, the Kern County Medical Society, the California Medical Association, the California Academy of Family Physicians, and others in throwing their early support behind Dr. Bains’ campaign for State Assembly.

The primary election will be held on June 7, 2022.
