State Senator Richard Pan Endorses Dr. Jasmeet Bains for Assembly

Pediatrician and State Senator Dr. Richard Pan has endorsed Jasmeet Bains’ campaign for State Assembly, her campaign announced today.

“Dr. Jasmeet Bains is the clear choice for State Assembly, and I am proud to endorse her,” said Senator Pan. “I’m supporting Dr. Bains because, as a family doctor who served on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, she understands the importance of access to quality healthcare and ensuring everyone has access to preventive care and affordable lifesaving treatments. Dr. Bains will be a passionate and tireless champion for our families and children in the Assembly.”

Dr. Richard Pan is a physician and educator who was first elected to the State Assembly in 2010, where he led efforts to implement health care reforms to expand health care coverage to millions of new Californians. Dr. Pan also led the fight to stop health insurance companies from denying access to coverage for pre-existing conditions. He was elected to the State Senate in 2014, where he currently serves and continues to bring his knowledge and experience as a physician, educator, small business owner, and parent to the issues facing our state.

Dr. Pan’s endorsement comes on the heels of State Senator Melissa Hurtado throwing her early support behind Dr. Bains’ candidacy for State Assembly.

The Primary election will be held on June 7, 2022.
