Kern Law Enforcement Association Endorses Dr. Jasmeet Bains for Assembly

Dr. Jasmeet Bains is continuing to run the table when it comes to endorsements from our region’s law enforcement professionals, with the Kern Law Enforcement Association throwing their support behind Dr. Bains’ candidacy for Assembly.

Tim Caughron, President of the Kern Law Enforcement Association, said: “Dr. Jasmeet Bains has been on the frontlines, standing shoulder to shoulder with public safety. Now, we are standing with her as the best choice for State Assembly. Dr. Bains will be a tireless champion for victims and their families, and we know she will be an ally for the men and women who are on the frontlines defending our neighborhoods and communities.”

The Kern Law Enforcement Association (KLEA) was founded in 1974 and partners with the Kern County Sheriff and District Attorney to provide professional public safety services throughout Kern County.

Dr. Jasmeet Bains said, “I am proud to have the support of the Kern Law Enforcement Association and am humbled by the outpouring of support by our law enforcement professionals. I believe protecting our communities and keeping people safe should be one of the most important priorities for elected leaders. In the Assembly, I will never stop standing up for the officers who put their lives on the line every day, for victims, and for families to be able to live in safe neighborhoods.”

Dr. Bains continues to solidify her position as the only candidate in this race with the experience, values and support to make public safety a top priority in the Legislature. KLEA joins a fast-growing list of endorsements from law enforcement organizations throughout Kern County and the state, including the Kern County Prosecutors Association, the Bakersfield Police Officers Association, and the California Coalition of Law Enforcement Associations.

Vote-by-mail ballots for the June 7 primary election will be mailed to voters no later than Monday, May 9, 2022.
