Overview:

Dr. Jasmeet Bains is the candidate for Congress who has what it takes to protect Valley families from Donald Trump and David Valadao.  Randy Villegas can’t be trusted to protect the Valley. 

Voters should see, see on the go, and read about a Doctor who fights for the Valley:

• The daughter of immigrants, Dr. Bains has spent her career caring for the people Trump and Valadao are hurting the most. As an Assemblymember, she fought insurance companies to help more families get the medical care they need. 
  

• In Congress, Dr. Bains will protect our communities from Trump’s lawless actions and restore the Medi-Cal funding that Valadao voted to cut. She’ll make health care more affordable by expanding Medi-Cal, not taking it away. 
  

• Local firefighters, nurses and frontline workers all back Bains for Congress because she fights for the Valley.

• Dr. Bains is the only candidate with a record protecting Valley families, standing up to Trump’s lawless attacks and working to make life more affordable.
  

• Dr. Jasmeet Bains is protecting our families from ICE. In the State Assembly, Dr. Bains introduced legislation to protect our schools from the increased fear of ICE. She voted for the “No Vigilantes Act” to require ICE to identify themselves and prevent ICE from invading and operating at schools, churches and hospitals.
  

• Dr. Bains serves on the frontlines during wildfires as a medical first responder, providing emergency care to firefighters and people who have been evacuated.
  

• Dr. Bains is leading the effort to build a UC medical school in Kern County to expand access to health care and create local jobs
  

• Dr. Bains has fought to lower costs — opposing higher gas taxes and cutting taxes for working families and veterans.

• She is focused on the safety of our communities and will protect our communities from the abuses of ICE, and she’s the only candidate endorsed by local police and firefighters

• She is fighting to bring down the cost of living, including by eliminating the gas tax.

Voters should see, see on the go and read that Randy Villegas is a politician who can’t be trusted to protect the Valley:

• As a member of the Visalia School Board, Villegas helped cover up multiple cases of sexual abuse against children, approving secret, multi-million-dollar legal settlements that were intended to “keep the community in the dark forever.” That was one of 5 taxpayer-funded secret settlements — totaling nearly $15 million — that Villegas voted for. 
  

• Behind Randy Villegas’s campaign talk, his record shows he’s out of touch with Valley families. Villegas says he is running to fight corporations, but he has personally invested thousands of dollars in the Wall Street company BlackRock, which owns some of the world’s worst corporate polluters who poison our water. Villegas publicly supports big tax increases on working people and even expressed support for extreme policies like defund the police.
