The Central Valley has fueled California’s economy for generations, but too often, gets left behind. Dr. Bains will fight to protect the jobs we have and create high-quality jobs right here at home by investing in agriculture, and infrastructure — projects that put people to work today while building the foundation for long-term economic growth.

She supports passing the PRO Act to strengthen workers’ rights and ensure every worker has a voice on the job. Dr. Bains will push for a just transition that protects energy workers as our economy adapts to clean energy, so no worker is left behind. And she’ll champion public investment in rural and underserved areas — from roads and water systems to broadband — to attract new industries and good-paying union jobs for the next generation.
