Delano Police Officers Association Endorses Dr. Jasmeet Bains for Congress
DELANO, CA – The Delano Police Officers Association has announced its endorsement of Dr. Jasmeet Bains for Congress, citing her record of delivering resources to keep communities safe and her commitment to supporting law enforcement and public safety initiatives.
“Dr. Jasmeet Bains has proven she’s a true partner in keeping our communities safe because she doesn’t just talk about safety — she delivers. She’s brought millions in funding for new police facilities, fentanyl task forces, and community safety programs, and she’s stood up against legislation that would have let violent criminals out early without a plan,” said Delano Police Officers Association President Ruben Ozuna. “We trust Dr. Bains because she does what’s right and supports law enforcement when it matters most. She grew up here, she knows this community, and she cares about the men and women who wear the badge. She’s committed to building trust between law enforcement and the people we serve. For Dr. Bains, keeping families safe isn’t politics — it’s personal. That’s why the Delano Police Officers Association is proud to stand with her in her campaign for Congress.”
Dr. Bains expressed her gratitude for the endorsement:
“I am deeply honored to have the support of the Delano Police Officers Association,” said Dr Jasmeet Bains. “Public safety is the foundation of strong communities, and I have seen firsthand the dedication of our law enforcement officers who put themselves on the line every day to protect our families. As your Congresswoman, I will continue fighting to deliver resources for safer neighborhoods, tackle the fentanyl crisis head-on, and build stronger partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Together, we can ensure that every family in the Central Valley feels safe and supported.”
Dr. Bains, a physician and daughter of immigrants, is running to represent California’s 22nd Congressional District. She has dedicated her career to serving underserved communities in the Central Valley, addressing the opioid crisis, and fighting for affordable healthcare for all.
