BAKERSFIELD, CA – Today, Dr. Jasmeet Bains announced the endorsement of The Bakersfield Professional Firefighters Association, which has served Bakersfield for more than 130 years and represents firefighters, EMT, paramedics and other first responders. The Association recognized Dr. Bains’ long-standing commitment to supporting first responders and investing in safer, healthier communities.

“For me, public service isn’t about politics – it’s about showing up, taking action, and standing with those who put their lives on the line for our community,” said Dr. Jasmeet Bains. “I’m honored to have the support of Bakersfield’s first responders who keep our families and communities safe, and proud to be building a coalition that’s trusted me every step of the way to put people first. This campaign is about trust – and I’ll continue working every day to earn it.”

As a family physician, Dr. Bains has dedicated her life to caring for Valley families and fighting to expand health care. She has also worked directly alongside first responders, providing medical care on the frontlines of California’s wildfires and the COVID-19 pandemic.
