DELANO, CA - Today, Dr. Jasmeet Bains announced  the endorsement of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) in her campaign for California’s 22nd Congressional District. Dr. Bains’ support from organized labor is the foundation of her campaign, with the ATU joining over 30 labor unions behind her campaign – the largest backing  in this race. That coalition includes the California Federation of Teachers, the Laborers' International Union of North America (LiUNA), Local 220, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCM), IBEW Local 428, the United Brothers of Carpenters, and SEIU California.

Dr. Bains’ campaign for Congress is also endorsed by Planned Parenthood, EMILY’s List, AAPI Victory Fund, Elect Democratic Women, ASPIRE PAC, Healthcare for Action, New Dem Action Fund, FamMed Pac, NUHW, Delano Police Officers Association, and the Bakersfield Professional Firefighters Association. Bains is also backed by eleven members of the California Congressional Delegation, and dozens of community advocates and civic leaders. She is a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) ‘Red-to-Blue’ candidate.
