DELANO, CA - Today, Dr. Jasmeet Bains – family physician, State Assemblymember, and candidate for California’s 22nd Congressional District – spent the day across the district connecting with community members and gearing up for the final days before the June 2 primary.

In the morning, she attended the inaugural Shafter 5K honoring the life and legacy of Shafter Police Sergeant Moises Martinez, joined by the Martinez family and dozens of local residents. In Bakersfield, Dr. Bains joined supporters for a district-wide canvass launch, energizing volunteers before they headed out to knock doors, talk with voters, and share her message of expanding health care access, bringing down the cost of living, gas, and food, and creating opportunity for Valley families.

Addressing supporters, Dr. Bains underscored the stakes of the election and the final push to reach voters before Election Day:

“Health care is on the ballot…It’s time we stop electing politicians and we start electing a physician who knows what they’re doing. That’s spending her Sundays in the clinic,” said Dr. Bains. “At the end of the day, David Valadao’s gotta go! At the end of the day, this is our seat to flip! At the end of the day, health care’s on the ballot. This is the final push!”
