Huge Momentum Gain for Dr. Bains After Securing Over 56% of the Vote

DELANO, CA – In a sign of continued momentum in her race to unseat David Valadao, Dr. Jasmeet Bains received a majority of the 22nd Congressional District’s delegates during the California Democratic Party’s Endorsing Caucus on Saturday, earning more than 56% of the vote.  

“Thank you to the delegates for your incredible support and confidence in our campaign,” said Dr. Jasmeet Bains. “I am so honored to receive the support of a majority of my fellow CA-22 delegates to be your next Congresswoman.”

“With 56% of delegate support this weekend, Dr. Jasmeet Bains demonstrated her campaign is building momentum and driven by working families who want their Central Valley priorities at the decision-making table,” said CADEM Region 10 Director Noe Garcia.

Dr. Bains’ campaign for Congress is also endorsed by Delano Police Officers Association, Bakersfield Professional Firefighters Association, AFSCME California, SEIU California, IBEW Local 428, California Conference of Carpenters, EMILY’s List, AAPI Victory Fund, Elect Democratic Women, Teamsters Joint Council 7, ASPIRE PAC, Healthcare for Action, California Faculty Association, New Dem Action Fund, FamMed Pac, NUHW, ten members of the California Congressional Delegation, and dozens of community advocates and civic leaders.
